The Yale College Internship Program began in 1975 under the directorship of A. Tappan Wilder. The program, which ran in conjunction with Yale Summer Term, placed 25 undergraduates a year in government, business, and media internships during fall or spring term. In 1979 the Yale Summer Program ended, raising questions about the future of the internship program. In the same year Wilder left Yale, and Antonia Stolper, a former intern, was appointed to replace him. Stolper left Yale in 1980. Jean Ca...
